Wow - 2 posts in 2 days!!!!

Morning all, ooh very frosty here this morning looks too slippy to venture out. So trying to magic things to make for lunch as dont want to go to the supermarket - hmm this could make for an interesting lunch - lol!!

So to take my mind of this crisis I'll just blog this card that I made last night. I have taken advantage of the Sizzix sale and ordered just a few things (honest I was really good and didn't go mad!!). This card is one of the new dies I had ordered - except I hadnt thought about the envelope situation to go with this - honestly if I had brains I'd be dangerous!!! Also because of the flowers on it I am going to have a go later at making a box for it - hmm very blue peter :-)

This is for my oh's niece who is getting married in March:

This is it closed, as I have put little gems on the inside of the card that will show through the flowers when closed (does that make sense??)

And this is it standing - I have used a Lily of the Valley square die cut and matted it onto some lovely handmade (not by my hand though) pink paper that I received from Linda at Pink Lilacs -I have just slightly distressed the edges and then added some flowers that I got for 29p in the Hobbycraft sale.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp
- New beginnings.
Ellephantastic - New beginnings.
Quirky Crafts challenge - New beginnings.
CT's challenge on Mse - flowers.
Creative Cottage - Something new (my new sizzix die)

First Post of the New Year.

Happy New Year folks, hope you are all well and fully recovered from any celebrations you might have been to. Very quiet here in the B household - hubby on nights, kids tucked up in bed. I managed to open one eye when the fireworks went off but that was it lol. By I know how to live life to the full...not!!

Anyway, just a quick post to blog this card that I made earlier and never blogged, so will do now and seize the chance to enter a couple of challenges with it.

The image was coloured with promarkers and I cant remember where the paper and ribbon were from - I think from a stash swap on MSE.

Phindys Place: Thank you.

C.R.A.F.T - Thank you

Oh how rude!!

In my excitement at making a card and getting it blogged on the same day - I forgot to ask if you had a great Christmas. So sorry!!

Hope you and your families had a great time and that Santa was kind to you. Not too much in the crafty way here just a heat gun and fluffy stuff - that probably wont be used until next Christmas now - lol. And after much umming and aahing - my hubby bought me a sewing machine - aargh. I havent used a sewing maching since I was at school quite a few - err I mean - just a couple of years ago - when the teacher told me I should stick to knitting!!!

So I have dug out my CK sew book - it seems quite easy and when I am not waiting in for a new phone (grr) to be delivered I'll go and get some material. However, if anyone has any advice for an absolute beginner -please feel free to point me in the right direction - lol!! Believe me, I'll need all the help I can get.

Whilst I am on incase I dont get another post before New Year - I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a Healthy & Happy New Year. I look forward to reading your blogs in the new year.

Engagement card.

Yoo hoo, oooh its foggy & damp and miserable here - boo!! So while the boys are having their xbox time I've got a few minutes to blog an engagement card I have made for a girl I work with:

The backing papers are Basic Grey. The digi image is coloured with promarkers and had glossy accents and stickles to highlight areas - I have matted it onto pearlised card from the papermill and added organza ribbon and pearls from stash.

I would like to enter this into:

Digital Tuesday: Anything goes

Catching up - Big post warning!!

Oh my lord - I seem to have lost a couple of weeks - do you know where they have gone - lol. I haven't even got a decent excuse yes a nativity, carol concert and running around for school disco's thats about all I can blame on the boys. I must take the blame though, every year I think I am organised and then it all goes a bit Pete Tong!! I've tried to keep up to date with blog hoppin and the forum that I like a bit of a chat on but feel I have failed miserably. So if I havent left you comments when I normally do please accept my apologies and I will try harder in the New Year.

Anyhoo, enough of my feeble excuses and ramblings here are a couple of cards I have made:

This was for my hubby made with a digi from Pollycraft - coloured with pro-markers, papers from ebay, snowflake made with a Mariannes die cut and sentiment generated on the pooter.
(p.s. its not wonky - I photographed it with the envelope underneath - doh)
I would like to enter this into:
Alys Sunday Challenge - anything goes.
Karber Christmas challenge - Christmas (with a digi)
Spoonfull of sugar - Christmas

This next one is made with a combination of different stamps. Sarah sent me the front sentiment but it had a pair of what I thought looked like ladies pants on and as it was for a boy I cut the pants off and then inside stamped a boxer shorts image that I had from Little Claires:

Front:

Inside:
Papers again from ebay the pants have been coloured with promarkers and then Glossy Accented.
I would like to enter this into:
Freshly Brewed Challenge - Christmas
Wags & Whiskers - snowflakes

It's all a bit of a blur who I have given cards to, but I think I gave this to one of the mums at school who gave me a lovely giftbag of homemade biscuits - yum. My cooking is not fab - so I thought I would give her my version of homemade:

Papers from Stash - think they were last years Daisy & Dandelion, the image also from stash backed onto Mirri card and coloured with promarkers then highlighted with glossy accents and stickles. The little present embelishment was from Dunelm mill - I think it was meant to be a button but I cut the loop thing off the back and glued with glossy accents.
I would like to enter this into:
Creative Belli Blog - Christmas
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes

Lastly - this is actually a spare - hmm who have I forgotten to post to:

Again - last years papers & Sentiment, image from Sarah (again - thank you!!) coloured with promarkers and highlighted with stickles.

I would like to enter this into:

I love promarkers - anything goes.

Phew I think I need a cup of tea now!!!

Then its off to make some Christmas decs. with they boys - talk about last minute lol!! In case I dont get back on again before Christmas I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all :

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Thanks for visiting and leaving comments - I've loved reading every one!!! Look forward to visiting you all in the New Year.

What more snow...

... well the boys school has been closed and will be tomorrow - luckily hubby's shifts mean he is off, so no childcare nightmares (for this week anyway!!). It cant last much longer - can it???

Anyway, while tea is cooking, I thought I'd quickly nip on and post this card:

This was originally meant for a sketch challenge over on mse that I was doing from memory, but then when I saw the sketch again - it was nothing like it - oops!!! I have used papers, sentiment and ribbon from my stash. The image from ebay is coloured with pro-markers. I have die cut some snowflakes and popped little sparkly bling from stash in the centres. Sakura glitter pen has highlighted some snow and the hedgies spikes.

I would like to enter this into:

Ellephantastic challenge - red & green
The crafty pad - snowflakes
Diecut challenges - use a die
Sew many challenges - red & green
