Cough, splutter....

... phew, excuse me whilst I just blow the dust off my blog.  Yup, its been a while all because I fell out with my promarkers and my mojo just upped an left on its summer holidays (plus been having days out with the boys)  thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol.

I do have a couple of cards I could blog, but am going to hang on for suitable challenges :-), but, here's a card I've made just to have in my stock pile (although really I need a couple of mens cards!).

I have used one of Janeys lovely designs - the Geum, and this was a joy to colour:

I have printed the image onto Rymans card stock and decoupaged the main flower, here's a photo to try and show:

To colour the image I used three colours on the petals: Apricot, Oatmeal & Vanilla.  For the stem I used Moss and Olive green and outlined the image with cool grey 1.  I then die cut the image with my nesties, added some bling & ribbon from my stash.  The dp is papermania from the pastel collection which I matted onto some pearlised card and layered onto my Craftwork Cards card blank.

I would like to enter this into:

Papertake weekly - Anything goes
Passion for Promarkers - Clean & Simple.

Thanks for looking and thank you to Janey for being patient :-) xxx

So hot...

... so I've come in for a cool down!!  While I'm here I'll just blog my brothers birthday card.  As I type he is in France doing one of the stages of the Tour de France before the professionals come through - hope he is doing well - apparently if you dont keep up a bus comes and pick you up - lol - oh the shame!!!

One of the perks of card making is you can adapt the card to make it so individual to the recipient (although that isnt always appreciated (rolls eyes)), lets hope this one is:

The image is from just inklined (you'll see it again soon for my nephews card!), I have coloured it with promarkers then matted it onto red and black card.  I have then printed a map of France - roughly showing the area he is at - again matted onto red card then added a little Eiffel tower charm (would it be rude to ask for this back when he is finished with the card lol), that I received from the lovely Steph.  Lastly the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards

Oooh the tennis is about to start!!  Must dash!!

Wow!! The Sun is shining...

...but I havent taken advantage of it today, as Janine at Crafting Crackers kindly organised another crafty sessions - where I was able to get lots of colouring done for teachers thank you cards - so I'll be able to get the cards made quickly :-) - Thanks Janine for organising it - look forward to the next session - although I am very jealous of your colouring in skills - lol.  Dont forget if you are in the Teesside Area and fancy popping in contact Janine through her blog where she will be able to help you.

I also got some of Janeys new images coloured as well - so that is some more cards in the pipeline :-).
The sun must have gone to Janeys head too - because if you are quick there is 20% off her images here until the 8th of July.

Okey doke - here are a couple of cards I have recently made as July is a bit mental for birthdays and anniversarys - this one I have used an image that I coloured at last months crafty session:

The image is from funky kits that I have coloured with promarkers and matted onto pink dp.  Then matted again onto I think Basic Grey papers - I have then die cut the heart & bow and adapted it slightly.

I would like to enter this into:

The sugar bowl challenge - anything goes.
papertake weekly - anything goes.

My next card is for my bestfriends little boy:

The image is from a collection from Dustin Pike of superheros and they are sooo cute - however I did struggle trying to get any depth/shading with my colouring, however I sort of got there in the end.  The image was coloured with promarkers and matted onto blue card then black the papers where free from a magazine.

I would like to enter this into:

Crafty Sentiments: Red, white  blue
A gem of a challenge - lots of layers
Here come the boys - use a digi
Craft your passion - red white & blue
Doodle Dragon Studio (pikes playground) - Red White & Blue
Inky impressions - red white & blue
Milk Coffee - red white & blue
Simon says stamp - red white & blue

Right best be off, tea at my mother in laws - yum!!

Hellooo...

...hubby has gone fishing I've got the kitchen floor washed, so going to sneak on here for a little card blogging and get back to some bits and pieces in the house.  Wish I was more organised around when to do my crafting/blogging in my 2 days off - I just seem to flit from one thing to another and never feel I have achieved anything - how do you structure days???

Anyhoo, here is a card I made for my mums friend:
Just a quick make with a LOTV image coloured with promarkers (I coloured this the other weekend at Janines new crafty club that I mentioned on my previous post).  The image has been matted onto baby blue bazzill and with the same card I have die cut the swirly bow and added a little pink gem.  The paper is Pink Petticoat which was a freebie in a magazine ages ago.

I would like to enter this into:

I love promarkers - pink/blue

The next card is one I've made just to have in (although really I need more emergency mens cards lol):

The image is a gorgeous wee stamp coloured with promarkers, matted onto a doily.  The backing papers are papermania matted onto black paper (I hope the black isnt too harsh - I wanted something striking - let me know what you think).  The sentiment is Craftwork cards.

I would like to enter this into:

Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Stampin for the weekend - anything goes.

Oh just to let you know I finished my male card from yesterday and also my little mouse cross-stitch - yay!!

Thanks for looking

Hello honeys...

... yoo hoo back from our trip to Henley and the washing and ironing is up to date, back into the swing of things with work and school, so let the crafting commence lol.

July is a busy month for birthdays and anniversaries so I really need to get my finger out and give my mojo a prod.  I have had a card half made on my desk since the weekend so I promise after I've typed this I will go and finish it (considering its needed for today... gulp!!).

Before, I went I promised a little stitchy update as well.  I've realised I've got a few projects on the go that I keep forgetting about because people keep tempting me with new patterns :-).  So hopefully by naming and shaming my UFO's it will motivate me to get them finished!!!  (Thats the plan anyway!)

So these are my Wip's the little mouse on the scooter is a pattern from a magazine that I wanted to make for Ians nephews little girls birthday that I am going to put on her birthday card.  The Friends Forever is one that I was working on before I went away and had forgotten as I'd started the little mouse so I must finish that one.  I first saw this on Junes blog and fell in love with it - especially with how June had finished it.  The gnome alphabet is stuck at S, so not much to go before thats finished and well the magician, goodness knows when that will get finished!!  He does seem to find his way back to the bottom of the to do list - I'm sure he'll get finished one day!

I do have one finish though:

I got a bit put off with this one with some other stitches that where in it that I hadnt done before and wasnt sure if they looked like how they should have done - it looks ok finished though - so I just need to make it into something now hmmmm.....

Right before I go I'll just show the quick fathers day card I made for my youngest to give to his dad, I havent entered this into any challenges, as I shamelessly pinched the idea from pinterest.

It was simply some black card matted onto a card blank then white card on top I typed the sentiment on word and then added the mustache with 3d sticky squares to the centre.  A very quick make and the layout could come in handy for any further quick cards that pop up!

Oooh must remember as well a couple of weekends ago I went to a new crafty club that Janine at Crafting Crackers blog started, there was six of us there doing a variety of crafts - so if you are in the Teesside area and fancy coming along contact Janine - she'd be happy to give any information for you to join us.

Thanks for reading, right must go and finish that card (hope the tennis doesnt distract me!)
