Hello...

... we've nipped into town this morning, so while the boys catch up on  their x-box time, I'm just going to do a quick blog post before I catch up with some housework.

This is a card I made for Ians mums birthday:

The image is LOTV, that came in a pad of images free with a magazine ages ago.  I have coloured the image with promarkers.  The papers where from Hobbycraft and I have matted the image, papers and sentiment onto textured cardstock from my stash.  I have then added flowers and pearls again from my stash.

I would like to enter this into:

Passion for Promarkers - perfect pearls
Creative Card Crew- Birthday with sentiment
Di's digi design challenge - embellishments  (flowers, pearls)
The pink elephant - happy birthday

Right, best go and get some jobs done!!

Thanks for looking

Oooh afternoon....

... by gum its a bit of a chilly one here - we had a smattering of snow during the night but its gone now but just very very cold!!!!

Its gone a bit quiet again on the card making front due to some decorating getting sorted and you know how it snowballs from just a few rolls of wall paper to new curtains, blinds, furniture - lol - and we've booked a holiday - yay!!  Honestly people will think we've won the lottery - unfortunately we havent :-( but hubby keeps trying!!

Onto why I'm here to blog a card I made a little while ago:

Gone Fishing!!

No not me lol, but a card I've just finished for my brothers birthday - so far so good in keeping on top of things - as his birthday isn't until February :-).

The image is a Jolly Nations stamp (that I got for a bargain price of 50p from a jumble sale!!).  I have coloured the image with promarkers and added glitter pen to the scales of the fish and a googly eye.  He has also been coloured twice and I have decoupaged him - althrough that doesnt show too well in the image. The image has been matted onto grey and orange card.  The dp is from a smirk pack that I have had for ages and added some jute from my stash and I made the sentiment on word.

I would like to enter this into:

I love promarkers - hobbies
Simon says stamp - its a guy thing
Sweet stampin - masculine.

Yay!!

Another post - whoop!!! Lol. I also want to thank you for the kind comments and welcoming me back blogging :-) your comments have really helped. But where does the time go - I though when I stopped work I'd have loads of time to craft but I don't!!!  Saying that I've been trying to make time as got a few birthdays and events coming up so I'd like to get organised so I dont have that last minute panic.

A couple of friends are expecting babies, one iminently (she doesnt know what shes having) and another in a couple of weeks who knows shes having a boy - so I've got one boy card made and hanging on to see what colours I need to make for the first baby thats due.

I've used a pre-cut from craftwork cards easel card but it was tricky to get a good photo of it, but I hope you get the general idea:

The gorgeous image is from digi-stamp boutieque and was lovely to colour with promarkers, I have added glossy accents to the bubbles.  the papers are dovecraft I think matted onto pale blue card.  I'm not sure where I got the sentiment stamp from and the button and bobbly ribbon are from my stash.

I would like to enter this into:

Passion for promarkers - Teddy Bears
Papertake weekly - New (new baby)
Digistamp boutique - January challenge (using one of their images)

Shock!!!!...

... I know - me - writing a post!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.  Can't believe its been so long since my last post - I can only apologise I had a serious lack of  mojo relating to card making, blogging and comment leaving - I got a bit fed up with it all and seriously considered packing it all in, but I've hung on and started to make a few cards again.   I have been having a little nosy around and seeing lots of gorgeous makes as always so hopefully I'll get back into full blogging/blog hopping mode soon :-).

Here is a recent card I have made for Ians aunty who's birthday is at the end of January.

The Image is Elisabeth Bell from an art pad, coloured with promarkers.  The dp's are cut from a 12x12 sheet, matted onto Blue textured card.  I have then punched some butterflies and added pearls and then added ribbon and charm from my stash.

She was a lovely image to colour especially after a long break.

I would like to enter this into:

Sweet Stamping - girly but no pink
Papertake weekly - anything goes

Thank you for sticking with me through my absence, I really appreciate it and thank you for looking, hopefully I'll be back soon.

Happy Friday....

... folks!!!  Just when I thought I was getting back into blogging/crafting - something comes along and bumps me off my track - lol - not that I'm complaining as we had a lovely weekend break last weekend to Northumberland just me and hubby so we could go walking/wandering without any moaning from the boys lol.

We got to visit Lindisfarne (Holy Island), Seahouses, Alnwick and a few other places and it was lovely even the lousy weather on the Saturday didnt spoil it - on the Friday, when we went it was lovely.  We stayed at this guest house and it was beautiful - everything was perfect, spotlessly clean, great hearty breakfast would definately recommend it - there was no scrimping on any attention to detail - I can be quite fussy - but this was perfect - cant wait to visit again.

We've also booked a trip to Amsterdam in November - so I've been googling non stop on how we get to our hotel, where is best to visit - sorting tickets for Anne Frank museum - me & tripadvisor are best buddies -lol.  If anyone has any recommendations - I am all ears :-).

Right, now I've got that off my chest - I'll show a recent make - I know that Debbie has received it so its safe to blog:

This is a Sassy Cheryl image coloured with promarkers.  The paper is from a hobbycraft pad and I have added ribbon, leaves, flowers and sentiment from my stash.

I would like to enter this into:

Good Afternoon....

...  ooh I'm doing well with cards at the moment, lol - AND- I have picked up my stitching again - yay!!!

Here is a card I've made for our neice (once removed - if thats possible - but you get the idea!!):

I came across this gorgeous freebie image whilst blog hopping and its from All Dressed Up  - thank you.  I have coloured her with promarkers and added stickles to her tutu.  The gingham paper is quite old and I think it came from a freebie paperpack that came with a magazine - as was the flowery paper.   These have been matted onto silver card.  I have added a diecut and my own sentiment and then added punched flowers that I have added distress inks to and little green gems and then added some leaves that where cut from a larger leaf die.

Passion for Promarkers - make it feminine
Di's digi challenge - Girlie
