Where did it go???

Well after a night of wind and rain - the snow has disappeared - cant believe how quickly it went from a couple of inches yesterday to all gone - no slush, no ice - lovely!!!  The boys arent so chuffed though - lol and I must admit I did fancy a bit of sledging :-).

Okey doke, as promised here is a card made with another of Janeys lovely images - Dropwart, which I think will be a mothers day card:

Oooh another dark photo - apologies.  I have coloured the image with promarkers and matted the image onto pink pearlised card from Craftwork Cards (again part of a goody bag).  The sentiment was a freebie from Create with TLC - a great site and has some lovely freebie printables - thank you for them.  I have die cut the sentiment and again matted it onto the same card and added pink gems from my stash.

Hope you likee!!

More snow...

so what to do other than play...

Its my brothers birthday the beginning of February, so this is going to be his card.  The image has been coloured with promarkers and some stickles added to the froth.  I've also added some glossy accents to the glasses and a little bit of distressing around the edge of the image and the card blank.

The paper is from an Echo park pad with brown card and twine added from my stash.

Just a little bit...

excited, well no actually quite a lot excited - have you noticed the button in the top left - yup I'm on a design team for Janey with some very very talented ladies - me nervous....nah (gulp!).

Jane very kindly sent me one of her images to have a play with the Icelandic Poppy seed head, so had a bit of a nosy to see what sort of colours they are, and this is what I've come up with:

Apologies for the photo - its so hard to get a decent picture at the moment.  I have coloured the image with promarkers onto a scalloped easle card from Craftwork cards - actually the papers and sentiment were also from there in a goody bag.  I have then added lace ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Why not pop over to the blog and see what the other ladies have done with Janes designs.

New kid on the block!

Just wanted to let you know that the lovely Jane from Janeys cards has set up her own digi design shop.  Jane is going to be specialising in flowers inspired by her garden and gardening adventures.  Yup, when she's not making making cards you'll find her in the garden.  Is there no end to her talents?!?

Anyhoo, here is a link to her shiny new Etsy shop which will go live at midnight tonight.  The fabby Digi Designs blog will hopefully inspire you too.

Finally not forgetting Facebook - heres a link to check out all updates and shenanigans going on in Janes world.

Tah Da!

Yay my bunting is up, although temporarily till I get something a bit better to hold it up and given it another iron - it was nicely ironed until the kids sat on it!!!  Lousy photo I know - what  a nightmare trying to get a decent photo - quietly chuffed with it - so thanks to all the blogs who have showed bunting - I finally got my act together lol.

Changing subject to cards, here is my mums Christmas Card:

Not sure what make the dp is, then I have torn some white linen effect card to give a snow effect.  The digi was an image I won (whoop!) from Inky Impressions
matted onto silver card.

She has been coloured with promarkers and then some fluffy stuff added to her coat and hat and lastly some stickles to added some frosty effect on the snow.  The Sentiment is from Nettys cards.

Yoo hoo!!!

Yes I'm still here and been busy in the crafting front too.  I just seem to have lost my blogging mojo - I still love having a nosy on other peoples but actually getting round to do posts seems to get knocked back to the bottom of the list.

Anyhoo, heres a little update of whats been keeping me busy :-).

Dont know if you remember my post from ooh maybe the summer of last year when I went to the quilting and cross stitch show at Harrogate and I bought a cushion cover kit - well get me, I've only gone and bloomin made it - whoop whoop!!!  I buy these things and then think I'll never be able to do them and do you know what I could - granted its not brilliant but I'm really chuffed with it for my first attempt:

It now has pride of place on my church pew in the kitchen.  I've also been making some bunting its all finished just needing hubby to give me a hand putting it up, so I'll blog that when I've got some pictures.

Ooh and do you know what - I'm not scared of my sewing maching anymore!!!  Looking for my next project....hmmm, what to do, what to do.

What else, oh yes I've been making some cards as well which I'll blog gradually - here is my sister in laws birthday card (its not until February but I'm trying to be organised - lol):

I love this now its finished, but flippin' heck what a nightmare I had trying to 'cut outside the box' with my die  - lol - but that was probably me being a bit thick and having a touch like a baby elephant, also gone a bit embellishment mad on this card - what with flowers, pearls and ribbon - realised now though I'll need to make a box to put it in as I dont think it'll fit in the envelope - oops - so I'd best google a 6x6 box instruction - or cheeky I know if anyone can point me in the right direction :-).

Back to the card - the image is a up up and away a sugar nellie stamp that was reduced from Funky kits and I have coloured her with promarkers and then everything else from my stash - flowers from hobbycraft, ribbon and pearls from crafty fairs but not sure of the make of papers.
