Couple of makes.

Hi, hope you are all well and those with kids not too stressed out with the school holidays!!! They boys have been at sports camp this week, so have been able to do a bit of pottering around with cards:

I received this image a while ago from Sarah over at Rainmacs place and finally got round to using it (thank you Sarah)- I have kept it quite plain and not gone mad adding embellishments/ribbons etc and would like to enter it into the:
Just Cute Bears challenge - Bare necessity
Creative Inspiration - Animals

I also had a play with new Elzybells stamps that I have recently bought - a couple of friends/family are expecting so wanted to try something a little different (although will need to go back and do one in blue!!):

I have die cut the scalloped circle from the card blank then added Smirk papers to the inside and tied ribbon from stash & added card candy. I stamped the image and coloured with promarkers and then covered the back with pink card and hung with a small piece of cotton. Sorry for the poor photo it doesnt show the lovely sentiment of " A baby is a tiny piece of heaven" which I have stamped in pink at the bottom.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Cowgirls Sunday - Anything goes
Allsorts Challenge- baby/child
Totally Gorjuss - Congratulations.

Thanks for looking x

Loving these free papers!!

I dont know if many of you have this months Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine but the free MME papers that came with it are gorgeous - I am loving the bright zinginess (is that a word???) of these.

Today, I received my free digi image from Pollycraft and wanted to play with it straight away - so had a little go at making a slightly different card:

And this is it standing up:

I really need to learn how to take better photos - it looks better in real life - lol.

I have made my own card blank and then trimmed off the bottom, and then when fixed the image on levelled it up with the base so that it stands on the image - does that make sense ?? Based on an idea I had seen on a blog or a magazine (but cant remember which!)

I have used MME papers.
Gingham ribbon & buttons from the local Boyes stores.
The image is fixed with 3d sticky fixes to Bazzill card stock.
Image has been coloured with Promarkers.

I would like to enter it into the following challenges:

Pollycraft - Happy Birthday
Stampavie - Anything goes
I love promarkers - buttons
Craftalicious - birthdays
The crafty pad - Inspirational photo

Thanks for looking xx

Turtally Green

Over at Tales from Pollycraft, I used their Maurice freebie and received another freebie, and the challenge was to use it anyway you wanted but to think green. Once, you enter this, you can then choose another freebie from the shop... how brill is that!!!

So, here is my card:

I have used various green papers including, Krate (I think??), MME and one from etsy (not sure of make). The image has been coloured with promarkers. Lastly I printed the ticket that I had downloaded from A Load of old Blogocks onto Kraft paper - you are able to amend the sentiment - so have altered this one to read Turtally yours. Although, it was lost on my husband when I showed him - because he said he thought they were tortoises!!

I would also like to enter it into the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time - Challenge 22 - use a Digi image
Stamp Scrap & Doodle - Animals
Thanks for the freebies and thanks for looking xxx

MSE Challenge

Over on the card making forum on MSE the challenge was set for try something new, well, couldnt really think of anything new to try - to be honest - I could but couldnt afford to go and buy new stuff - had been thinking of using embossing powders/heat gun etc. as I had quite a splurge last month...ssshhhh...dont tell hubby :-)

However, one of the card making mags that I buy each month had a fabby subscription offer of a Sizzix texture boutique and various bits and pieces. Sooooo, this is going to be my try something new!! I have embossed a card and then stamped my favourite Hero Arts stamp in Silver.

Hope it is ok for the challenge. (sorry for the rubbish photo)

Getting organised.

Over at One Stitch at a Time there is a challenge to make a card with a military theme. Well, if that is not the encouragement I need to make my sons birthday card - as at the moment he is into all things military - you dont want to know where I have found little soldiers - lol.
I had a rubbish attempt at trying to print camoflauge (sp?) paper off the computer and remembered I had some oddments of basic grey sultry which I think does the job. I also used a nesties label and cut it in half to try and look like a pocket top with gold braiding (not 100% sure of army outfits!!), I also die cut his name and then added a couple of army embelishments that I managed to get in a sale at a local shop called Boyes.

Hope this is ok. Thanks for looking. x

Ooh I also had good news this week and won my first ever challenge - yippee - you dont know how chuffed I am - lol xxx

Slow & Steady.

Well, I don't know whats up with me this week - not really been bothered to do much - not like me especially when it is faffing with paper and colouring in, hmmm...wonder if its the weather???
Anyway, when I saw this freebie digi image - I knew it would be ideal for my f-i-l, it's just so suitable for a man football supporter rather than the cutie kiddy ones you can get:

I have coloured him with pro-markers.
Football paper from the Smirk range
and die cut Dad with my sizzix.

I would like to link this one to the pollycraft blog for a freebie to use next week - ooh am intrigued!!!

Now, for this one, there is a bit of pink overload, lol.

The image from Angela is coloured with promarkers.
The patterned paper is from MME freebie with this months Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine.
Anitas Organza ribbon
Sentiment in stash
Flower & pearls are from stash
Pink backing card from The papermill

I would like to enter this into:Stamp Something: 1 Ribbon, 1 Paper & 1 Image
Pollycraft - bold & bright.

Lastly, after spotting a challenge on Rainmacs blog and finding a lovely santa image, I thought this might cheer me up - Christmas in July - is it too soon to start writing a list - lol.Sorry about the dodgy photo - I couldnt find the right position to stop a reflection.
The embossed christmas tree was kindly sent to me when I started card making last year from Craftygranny.
The image is a freebie digi - coloured with promarker and cut out and adhered to the tree with 3d sticky fixers.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Magical Crafts - Xmas in July
Ooh la la - Xmas in July
Fussy & Fancy - Xmas in July part 2

Good Morning, bit of a blustery day today - but no rain -yay!! Just been noticing how I havent blogged for a few days - seem to be really erratic - it's either lots or nothing, really should try to be more consistant (yeah put it on my to do list - no best not - nothing gets done then - lol).

I was inspired by Angela to make this card - it is quite similar to one I recently made - but I have changed the colours, and added a few little pearls - love the colours, and image -I was so pleased that I was able to buy the stamp recently - think it is suitable for so many occasions - she looks so serene)
