In my excitement at making a card and getting it blogged on the same day - I forgot to ask if you had a great Christmas. So sorry!!
Hope you and your families had a great time and that Santa was kind to you. Not too much in the crafty way here just a heat gun and fluffy stuff - that probably wont be used until next Christmas now - lol. And after much umming and aahing - my hubby bought me a sewing machine - aargh. I havent used a sewing maching since I was at school quite a few - err I mean - just a couple of years ago - when the teacher told me I should stick to knitting!!!
So I have dug out my CK sew book - it seems quite easy and when I am not waiting in for a new phone (grr) to be delivered I'll go and get some material. However, if anyone has any advice for an absolute beginner -please feel free to point me in the right direction - lol!! Believe me, I'll need all the help I can get.
Whilst I am on incase I dont get another post before New Year - I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a Healthy & Happy New Year. I look forward to reading your blogs in the new year.

Ali...I was hoping Santa would bring me a new sewing machine as mine has seen better days as I have had it for over 20 years and it depends on what kind of mood it's in whether it will stitch. I did but one of these mini ones but they are totally rubbish. You should persevere with the machine as I think the stitching on cards just finishes them off and I have to say the cards I have made with stitching are my favourites. Now it has been a while since I actually made anything using fabric but if you follow the patterns that are availbale then it it is straight forward...and if i can do it then anybody can.

Sorry I can't offer any advice on sewing (hand or machine) I'm so useless I only use mine for turning up hems on jeans & they are out of fashion before I've threaded the machine up! Maybe practise on some scrap material?
