Running late - again....

Cottons on the rise, plus bits of wool and wraps from around new cottons.

I finished my make for March just nearly a month late over at the Christmas ornie blog:

This was a freebie out of a cross-stitch magazine - just wanting a nice frame for it.

What else, ooh I know a huge Thank you to Blueberry Heart, I was lucky to win a recent giveaway on her blog and it arrived yesterday - beautifully wrappend and full of lovely goodies, not sure whether to hange the heart in my bedroom or bathroom???

Right got to dash my mum is coming for lunch and I've got nothing started yet.

Take care lovelies

Men cards..

.. at last I am back with a couple of cards, the first was a quick make for a party Tom had been invited to:The image is a Bugaboo Freebie, coloured with promarkers and matted onto black card, then red card. The footballs at the front where from a Smirk pack that I stamped and punched out and coloured.

The next is for Ians cousin, who is a joiner and has recently moved house that needs a LOT doing to it, so he is always working:

What a faff on this was. I thought I had used just an ordinary square card blank, until I'd finished and stood it up and saw the fancy edge at the back - ooh poo (or something similar!!) - were my thoughts and I liked the layout so I cut the back off and made it into an easle card.

The image is a Digi Stamp Boutique coloured with pro-markers, then used two papers from my stash and matted onto red card. Finally adding, a button, card candy and twine again from my stash.

I am really pleased with how he eventually turned out.

I would like to enter this into:
Crafty Sentiments - use a digi
Incy Wincy - digi's only
Make my monday - sports or hobbies
Our Creative corner - boys and their toys
Crafty Anns - its a man thing
Everybody Art - Card for a Man
Digi stamp boutique - any card using their image
Thanks for looking

Are you sitting comfortably???

Hello lovelies, sorry its been a while since my last confession err no thats wrong lol, I mean my last post. :-).

Right where to start, well as you know its been half term, my poor kids have had the half term from hell!!! It was my eldests birthday on the 7th and he has been desperate to go to Alton Towers, so when we had the lovely sunshine we booked a surprise night away at Stoke on the Tuesday to go to Alton Towers the next day....well those were the days the snow came!!! AARGH!!!

Here is a pic of Jack looking well cheesed off - as we walked from the carpark to the entrance hoping and praying the weather would change - it didnt!!

At least we saw a smile here - lol!!

After wandering around for an hour or two and getting onto an indoor ride and seeing the Ice Age 4d film we were approached by staff advising us to evacuate the park - due to snow, winds and falling trees - however refunds have been sorted and we will try again later in the year. We are off to London soon - so he'll get his fix of scary rides when we visit Thorpe Park & Chessington :-) . Please please let the weather be good!!

That was nightmare no 1. Nightmare no.2. was when they were with their dad in the Tesco car park and a woman reversed into their car - luckily no damage or injuries - just her blatent lying saying she never hit the car or heard my hubby blow his horn and said he was trying to pull a fast one!!

Nightmare no.3. me & the boys on our way to a local indoor skate park for their first ever visit when we were in an accident a van ran into the back of us and pushed us into the car in front - again no injuries and the car can be repaired - thank goodness.

Hopefully, all our bad luck is behind us!!

On some good news I've got some cards made and will get them blogged when I have spotted some appropriate challenges.

I have also completed my April make, being as I have missed February & March *blush*.

I saw a post on Dawnys blog, I havent knitted in ages - but thought I would give it a go - here is my finished jumper and my beanie hat just needs stitching up:

It looks a bit orange there - but it is actually bright red. I also gave my mum the details and she has managed to knit 3 in the time it took me to knit one!!! I've got the address - so I'll get these posted next week.

Hope you are still with me - lol.

Right, off to see if I can spot any challenges and will hopefully be back soon with some cards.

Take Care

Oh what a beautiful morning.....

... please excuse my singing, got to have a little giggle on April Fools Day!!

It seems ages since I blogged - :-(, things have slowed down here and really they cant afford to!! I've got lots of cards that need making - I havent made one easter card yet. I also havent done my March christmas cross-stitch AND I've missed the March Monthly make!! The house is a tip and ... oh I could go on but you dont want me whinging on!!

I have been on a stash ban lately and saving up as I had tickets for the Pins & Needles show at Newcastle yesterday. My lovely hubby took me there and secretly I think he likes going to these fairs I give him an idea of what I am after and he's quite a good spotter plus he can remember prices and which stall they were on - result!!

Here is a pic of my haul, luckily Lisa had left some things for me to buy - lol.

I bought some fat quarters (not sure what to do with them but they were pretty!!), some 28ct Linen ( a metre at half price - which I thought was quite good),ribbons, couple of cross stich patterns a Lizzie Kate Easter one erm which will probably be stitched for next year the way I am going at the moment!!, my first Bent Creek cross stitch pattern - yay!! Gnomes in a Garden Row - too cute and finally some card making bits and pieces from Samuel Taylor - Basic Grey papers, pearls and a new die - phew!! I think my budget (plus a tiny bit more - cough) was spent in about an hour and a half - it doesnt take long does it??

To be honest I think I prefer this fair to Harrogate - obviously not as much card making stuff - and the every crafts a £1 wasnt there this year :-( but its definately not as manic at least you can get in to see stuff. On show was a knitted tent and a quilted yurt - but guess who forgot her camera - doh.

We are off to Alton Towers in the middle of the week as a treat for Jacks Birthday so I am hoping the weather stays nice, right best go and get showered and dressed to head of to Asda - as our cupboards are bare!!!

Hope the weather is nice where you are - enjoy!!
