Happy Wednesday...

... to you all.  Hope you are all well and the sun is shining where you are.  I've just returned from having a mooch round the shops with mum and going to quickly post this before hubby comes in for some lunch.

This is just a card I've made to have in, I saw the sketch on sketch Saturday and fancied having a go and then I've also been able to link it to a couple of other challenges:

The image is a sugar nellie one (I think) coloured with promarkers, although I think I need to practice hair a bit more!! matted onto green and pink card - I love the green and pink colour combo - but I really need to try new colours to take me out of my comfort zone!

The papers where freebie lotv papers from a magazineand then I've added some gems from my stash.

I would like to enter this into

Sketch Saturday - sketch #380 (hope this is close enough to the sketch if not just let me know and I'll remove)
Passion for Promarkers - patchwork
Sugar Nellie - anything goes
Simon says stamp - Wednesday challenge - anything goes.

Thanks for looking

Ali
xx

  4. Pink and green is one of my fave combos too...and there's nothing wrong with using what you love!
Your layout is fab, the slanted edges to the DP give a lovely modern feel and that image is so sweet :-)

    Big hugs Kat xx

  5. Gorgeous card Ali and I love your colouring. Re your question on my blog, I used the warm greys from 6 down to 1 for the mouse's skin, Red Sweater, Rose Pink and Blossom for the pinks, and Soft Green, Mint Green and Pastel Green for the greens. Very importantly, I used my blender too to fade the lightest colour right down. Hope that helps and thank you so much for your lovely comments, and also for playing along with us at Passion for Promarkers this week, hugs, Juliexx

And you are correct the image is a Scrapberry stamp which is available from the Funkykits store (aka Sugar Nellie). :)
