Hellloooo, is there anybody there???

Oh lordy, I cant believe how long its been, seriously lost my blogging mojo - even commenting on other blogs has fallen by the wayside and for that I apologise but I do still have a nosy.  It seems though I'm not the only one who feel this way.

Anyhoo, I hope you all had a fab Christmas & New Year - if you can remember its seems so long ago.  I didnt really get anything crafty this year - just a couple of dies - that I 'desperately' needed - however, they are still in their packets - lol, they will get used at some point - honest - lol, just dont tell hubby!!

Even though I've been quiet on here my crafty mojo has made a re-appearance and I've been making cards like a good'un - my son is 16 in April (omg!! that cant be right!!!) and I've got his cards made, early, incase mr mojo decides to go walkabout again! and a couple of others which I'll blog about soon.

Talk about being prepared - I've got one of my mothers cards done, which is the one I'm going to blog now - the next mothers day card is going to be exactly the same as this one.

The image is from Mo's digital pencil, she recently had a new year discount code, so I took advantage of that - I've loved this image for ages and often thought it would be ideal for my gardening mum and mum-in-law!!

I printed off the image and then masked an image on top of it whilst I stencilled the distress ink circle around the image - which I have then coloured with promarkers and added the sentiment from word.  I have kept it c&s by matting onto pink card and then just adding some gems from my stash to the corner.  I am really pleased with how this turned out (I wont admit it was my third attempt though - due to botching of the stencilling - lol!!)

I would like to enter this into:

Passion for Promarkers - C&S
I love promarkers - Anything goes
As you like it - One layer or lots of layer (one layer) - its the first time I've attempted this and really like how it has turned out - I will definately be doing more like this.
Mo's DP2 challenge - anything goes.

Hopefully it wont be so long until my next post, thanks for looking.

  4. There she is!!

It wasn't so much my blogging mojo disappearing as life just took over and some times one likes to have a little break.... possibly extending it to January as well wasn't necessary but I have been able to get myself ahead so hoping that will make my blogging schedule more consistent for the rest of the year... famous last words!

  8. So glad to see you back Ali, I've missed you! I've not been blogging very much either, I find the dark days difficult for the photos and my mojo can also be a little elusive! This is a gorgeous card, as always xx

  12. This is so gorgeous and effective! Just had a loony through your cards they are great and fab colouring!
Thanks for you kind comment on my blog :-) I just use really pale shades! And really dark ones for the darkest parts. If you look at Letracet website the Promarker & flexmarker colour charts are in the top left corner! There are a lot more really pale shades of Flexmarkers than there are Promarkers so I have quite a few of them too! I spent so long looking at those charts to find the right shades that go together! Wish they sold them in sets that all blend perfectly together!
For example the brown on my witchy image I used Satin for the palest bit blended in with Sandstone, caramel, burnt sienna (all Promarkers) I find you have to get quite a few pens just to do one colour to get the shading right! Hope that helps :-)
Ps I must become a follower! Your cards are fab! Will do that now! :-)
