MSE challenge

Well I thought I would give you a laugh...the challenge over on MSE was to make a card with homemade flowers, well, not too good at that sort of craftiness and didnt really know where to start. Anyway, after having a look on the Splitcoast stampers site I opted to have a go at this type of flower - it seemed really easy to do...believe me I need easy things!!(please ignore the bit of scrap paper at the side of the card!!)

Not sure how I will fit it in an envelope though!!!

Whilst on a roll (and a few cards to make this month), I have made a 21st card for my neice, who like me is a bit of a bag addict - I received a few scottie dogs from Karen so I thought it would be ideal for a certain brand of bag - I know a couple of other girls have had similar ideas :-) (The card and other little bits on it were from a goodie bag Craftwork Cards)

Right need to get my thinking cap on for a 16th, 15th, 23rd & Fathers day - oh my brain hurts just thinking about it.

Thanks for looking xx

Cards for challenges.

Hi, its hubbys birthday today so I can blog his card - I feel really bad though as it was a bit of a rush job leaving it to nearly the last minute and very tempted to go and buy one but no, I cracked on and got one made, which I will also enter into the Passion for Promarkers challenge &

The card was matted with green card from the papermill.
Dotty paper from stash.
The image is a freebie digi image coloured with promarkers and his boots have anitas 3d glossy accents.

I have also finished my card for my mums friends Golden Wedding I am not sure if it is a little plain but I am going for a less is more!! :-)

Again, I am able to enter this into the Meljens designs challenge.

Hope you have a great bank holiday (better than the weather!!)

Missing in Action!

Yoo Hoo, yes still here, just been away for a week to have our annual family pilgrimage to Legoland - we had a fab week staying near Henley and visited Chessington, Windsor & London - the boys haven't really experienced anything as busy as London but they loved it - especially the Science & Natural History museum - In my life bc (before children) I went Christmas Shopping in London many times and had forgotten how much I love it - normally I hate really busy places - but London is just so different. Really need to go again without the kids to do some serious mooching - Harrods is not quite the same with 2 boys pulling at your arm every 2 minutes demanding to visit Hamleys - lol :-)

I had been itching to get back to card making -but when I got back I just sat shuffling papers totally lacking inspiration so cracked on with a bit of cross stitch :

I really will make the effort to get this framed for the kitchen when it is finished!! (she says!! - will probably sit in the bag with the others!!)

Anyway, my mojo has started to return for card making as it is my hubbys birthday on Saturday - yikes- I seem to have lost a few days thought it was the week after - I cant believe how quick this month has gone it has just flown by!!

Right well I will go and see if my 3d gloss has dried on the image I have coloured and try and get it finished - hopefully I wont be so long between posts in future - take care xx

Oh No - Four Oh!! and a Big Thank you!!

Well, I cant believe it at the end of last week I turned 40!! I am sure I must have added up wrong as I certainly don't feel mature enough to be 40!! Still daft as a brush - lol. The postie was laden down and brought me lots of lovely cards from the lovely girls on the MSE forum - whom I haven't met but have been touched that they took time out to make me some gorgeous cards:

The top four are from: Hassy, Dragonllew, Padster & Mad Frog.
The two below are from: Marg & Rainmac
The next four arcing round are from: Flourgirl, Bun Bun, Oap & Tomsmum.

As well as the cards I got some lovely goodies:

Hope this works out, cant seem to get photos right on blogger sometimes!!!

So I just want to take this opportunity - to say a huge thank you - I love them all xxx

It's nearly finished - just the rest of the back stitching to do:

I was thinking I wont have anything to do once this has finished - tempted to buy a bigger kit - gulp, ah but saved, need one more alphabet letter for a teacher - as when I was doing the others realised we didnt know her initial!! So, will just have a nosy through my magazines, to see if I can find something cute x

Trying something new.

Hi, well tonight I thought I would have a go at making a different type of card - I thought I knew where to find the instructions, but couldn't so had a little go at making my own. It was fairly easy, but really need to learn not to rush things - just take my time!! Anyway - here is my first attempt:

The weather was really strange today - one minute we had bright sunshine - so you would think great lets go out - by the time you had coats on it was pouring down!!! So, made a card for a friend who is expecting a little girl in September (gosh - I hope her scan is correct - lol):

I think just to be on the safe side I will make a boy one as well!!

Hope you enjoyed the Bank Holiday and had better weather than us! xx
