Charming.

This is a card I started to colour in the other day and then just put it all together tonight:

The papers are freebies from a magazine. The image was sent to me by one of the lovely ladies on MSE and coloured with promarkers. (Sorry cant remember who - I think 2 people possibly sent me the same image -isnt it gorgeous). The flower and pearls are from Sarahs cards and the butterfly charm from Nutcrafters.

I would like to enter this into:

I love promarkers - charming.
A day in the life of a craft fairy - scalloped circle.

Thanks for looking xx

Big congrats to my neice.

This is a card I made for my neice who did really well in her GCSE's (obviously takes after her aunty - cough! - not).

The image was sent to me from MadFrog at Sparklecrafty - after I left a comment on her blog - how nice was that - thankyou!!!!

I have coloured the image with promarkers, and backed onto craft paper and a free background from the frugal crafter after spotting a link from the cupboard under the stairs. Finally just added little pearls from my stash in two corners.

I would like to enter it into the Stamp Something - Back to School challenge.

I've made a start!!

Well, after seeing loads of beautiful Christmas Cards, I have given in and made one - I was trying really hard to hang on, but no I've had a little potter on this morning:

Now I was going to enter this on the Just Magnolia challenge blog but am not 100% sure it will be ok as the top is slightly different but I am sure if the top or the image (magnolia/tilda???) are not correct they will let me know.

Anyway, I will have a go, so I would like to enter it into the:
Just Magnolia challenge - sketch.
Crazy Challenge - never too early for Christmas
Creative Cottage - Christmas
Creative Inspirations - Christmas in August
Secret Crafter - Make a start on Christmas
Totally Gorjuss - Christmas in August

Ain't mushroom...

When the boys have their x-box time I get time to faff on (although really I do get a bit more when they go out to play!), when really I should be doing housework!!

This afternoon I have made this card:

Sorry about the rubbish photo :-( I have used Basic Grey papers and a freebie image from Spyders Corner which I have coloured with pro-markers and added Anitas 3'd to the red circles on the mushroom - hubby was quite impressed by that - its the first time he has commented on a card without being under duress lol - he even asked for a touch - lol (of the 3d gloss!!!). Small adhesive pearls from Sarahs cards.

I would like to enter this into Spyders challenge &
Papertake Weekly challenge - recipe. (1 image, 2 papers & 3 embelishments)

Thanks for looking xx

Finally sorted out my font!

Just a quick post to show the finished elephant card with the sentiment on (at last!!). Finally sussed how to do it this morning with tempers fraying between me & my hubby as to who knows best!!! 'Just follow the instructions I have been sent!!! - grrr' - lol

I was also going to post the card I had sent to Dragonllew as part of the Crafty place card swap but I deleted it (by accident!!) - DOH!!

However, here is a pic of the beautiful one she sent me:

It would be rude not to!!! LOL

Evening all, hope you are all better than the weather... its not stopped raining ALL afternoon!!! So while my eldest was at his Nannas and youngest had an hours play on the pooter (we were supposed to be on a date - dont ask!) I managed to make a card for the little baby boom that is around me at the moment - but why do I keep going for pink - aargh!!

I got this lovely freebie image from Spyders Corner, which I have coloured with pro-markers. Lyn (Spyder) had left a comment on one of my recent makes and mentioned something about a freebie. Well, you have to check it out dont you... it would be rude not to!!!! Her blog is fabby with loads of lovely makes and lots of helpful info.

The card isn't finished yet as I need to pop the sentiment on, which I am trying to do after spotting a lovely freebie font on the blog that Spyder had kindly left a link for. I have downloaded it but cant do anything with it, so hubby is going to have a look when I have finished this post.

Spyder also has another blog with digi downloads to buy - which I have just been and ordered one which will come in very handy!! I'm supposed to be on a stash ban - but it was only 99p - I know I wont buy a newspaper for 2 days - if my oh asks - lol!!

MSE Green & Red Challenge

Over on the card making forum on MSE - Artydoll has set the challenge of making a card featuring Red & Green. My first thought was Christmas - but nooooo - not in August!!! So not sure what my logic was because this is even further away - I have opted for a valentines card - lol - somehow it just doesnt seem as bad as Christmas!!!

The Green Swirl backing card was kindly sent to me by CraftyGranny, the image was from Sarah (again!!) , thanks ladies!! The image has been coloured with promarkers and ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for looking xx

Another post??

Over at the Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog they have a nice easy sketch to follow :-), I would like to enter the following card :

I am not sure of the papers as they were kindly sent to me by Sarah when I first started card making. The image is a lili of the valley die cut - that I bought in March at the Harrogate papercraft exhibition. The ribbon was from a craftwork cards goody bag and the little charm was from Nutcrafters (I think?).

Talking of Harrogate:

In this months Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine, there was a small feature to send in you name and address to win one of 10 weekend passes for the September show. Yay, I couldnt believe it when I received these!!! All helps towards more stash!! I know I will be making a bee line for the Lili of the Valley stand - elbows at the ready to get in - it is always one of the busy stands - very popular, but is it any wonder when their images are soooooo cute - lol xx

Playing with a new digi stamp.

I was recently lucky enough to win a digi stamp and I chose this one:

I have coloured her with promarkers and used those lovely freebie MME papers (again!!) then added some ribbon from my stash in the corners. I have also used gold Sukura (sp??) pen to try and highlight her wings.

I would like to enter this card into the
Craft Your Days Away Challenge - With Wings.
Stamp Something - Digi Challenge

Decoupage.

There are a few challenges at the moment were I am able to enter a couple of cards that I have recently made. The first one is in the Cards for Men - decoupage challenge (no.17):

The decoupage and papers where part of a set (papermania) I think, I have added some cricket bats & red card candy where I have added gold pen for a stitched effect to make them look like cricket balls.

It was quite tricky cutting out the cricketer - I think I will stick with pre-cut decoupages next time - lol.

Thanks for looking x

Brother card.

Tonight, I was wanting to have a bit play and I have some images coloured but cant seem to get the right papers or the right layout. So I have put those away and done something different. I have made a card for my eldest to give to his little brother when it is his birthday in September. I love this image and dont use it as much as I could (or should!!). Its another one of those things that I just look at!!

I have backed the card with Bazzill and then used the remaining piece of 12x12 that I used on an earlier card but used my other new Martha Stewart Punch. The image has been coloured with promarkers. I have added stickers for the UR 7 but had to colour over them with red as they looked more orangey and the red star was part of a prize that I recently won over at MSE.

I would like to enter it into the following challenge:

Boy card.

Hi, well we are into the second week of the holidays and managing to get a little bit of crafting done when the boys are on the x-box!! I was having a rummage through my stamped images the other day and fancied doing a boys card for a change - I had forgotten I had this image that was kindly sent to me, so I set to colouring it in - although not having anything in mind for when it was coloured. The next day on Rainmacs blog, I spotted a post for a challenge that would be ideal. Now I knew what I was going to do with the image:

I have used red card stock from the papermill shop, I have cut the stripes off a sheet of Bugs in a Rug 12x12, used my new Martha Stewart star punch on mirricard and added a sentiment from stash and also backed the the image on blue bazzill card stock.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Cards for Men - Going on an adventure
Secret Crafter - Hot Wheels.
Stamp Scrap & Doodle - Clean & Simple

Thanks for looking.
