Oh what a beautiful morning.....

... please excuse my singing, got to have a little giggle on April Fools Day!!

It seems ages since I blogged - :-(, things have slowed down here and really they cant afford to!! I've got lots of cards that need making - I havent made one easter card yet. I also havent done my March christmas cross-stitch AND I've missed the March Monthly make!! The house is a tip and ... oh I could go on but you dont want me whinging on!!

I have been on a stash ban lately and saving up as I had tickets for the Pins & Needles show at Newcastle yesterday. My lovely hubby took me there and secretly I think he likes going to these fairs I give him an idea of what I am after and he's quite a good spotter plus he can remember prices and which stall they were on - result!!

Here is a pic of my haul, luckily Lisa had left some things for me to buy - lol.

I bought some fat quarters (not sure what to do with them but they were pretty!!), some 28ct Linen ( a metre at half price - which I thought was quite good),ribbons, couple of cross stich patterns a Lizzie Kate Easter one erm which will probably be stitched for next year the way I am going at the moment!!, my first Bent Creek cross stitch pattern - yay!! Gnomes in a Garden Row - too cute and finally some card making bits and pieces from Samuel Taylor - Basic Grey papers, pearls and a new die - phew!! I think my budget (plus a tiny bit more - cough) was spent in about an hour and a half - it doesnt take long does it??

To be honest I think I prefer this fair to Harrogate - obviously not as much card making stuff - and the every crafts a £1 wasnt there this year :-( but its definately not as manic at least you can get in to see stuff. On show was a knitted tent and a quilted yurt - but guess who forgot her camera - doh.

We are off to Alton Towers in the middle of the week as a treat for Jacks Birthday so I am hoping the weather stays nice, right best go and get showered and dressed to head of to Asda - as our cupboards are bare!!!

Hope the weather is nice where you are - enjoy!!

  6. Fantastic stash Ali, I would have loved to have come with you but live a little bit too far away :-( I am looking forward to the Easter break, we are off to Cromer with Jack's rugby club and to Legoland after Easter. Got loads of cleaning, tidying and other mundane bleurgh stuff to fit in alongside some much needed crafting. Hmmm, ironing or crafting, which to do first... x
