Double eugh...

... the weather is even worse today and I'm in a right grump - lol - my eldest needs new school shoes and after doing the regular haunts (in the rain!)  of Clarks, Clinkards, etc not one shop has his size he's only a size 5 for goodness sake!!!  How can they not have ANY shoes in (mind you I was quite relieved in a way thinking I was going to be paying £40 for about 8 weeks wear - lol)  - I feel a bit of an email moan coming on :-), and will have to try cheaper shoe shops to see if they have any.  Gah - and dont get me started on idiot drivers, but I'm okay now I'm home and had a strong coffee.

Right, now I've got that off my chest I'll share this lovely chappie with you - and check me out I've only had a go at doing an insert, I was inspired by Ellas design blog and she has ok'd that I can have a go.

This was a Pollycraft freebie from ages ago, I dont think he is available any longer.  I have coloured him with promarkers and added glossy accents to his beer.  Then matted him onto embossed card, then purple card and had a go at making my own fishtale banners.  I think the dp is Amy Tangerine (again!)

This was supposed to be for a sketch challenge until I realised I had missed a bit from the sketch and it wouldnt fit onto my card - doh!! so I've had to forget that challenge, honestly such a dozy drawers sometimes!

So forgetting that challenge I would like to enter it into:

Allsorts challenge - Happy Birthday
Creative Craft Challenges 2 - For the Fellas
Melonheadz friends - Male inspired.
Cupcake - boys
Simon says stamp - anything goes

If yours still with me after my little rant - thank you!!

Eugh...

... the weather is horrible here today :-(.  Its my lovely hubbys birthday as well, so we've been out for a birthday brekkie, then stuck in the rest of they day - he's been playing with his new toy (a kindle fire hd) and I've been doing housework, grrr not happy!!!!

Anyhoo, he's having a kip as he's on nights tonight and the boys are having their x-box time, I've done another batch of ironing, where does it keep coming from!!!  So feel justified in having a little blogging time.

In my little winning streak (which has now left me!) I won three digis from Milk Coffee, I'd not heard of these before, but oooh they have some cutie designs.  This was one of them, Lisbeth loves Sunflower.  I have coloured her with promarkers with a little glossy accents in the centre of the flower.  She has been matted onto pink paper with dovecraft dp's.  I have then added ribbon, flowers and doily from my stash.  I loved how it turned out.

I would like to enter this into:

Milk Coffee challenge - Load on the flowers.
The Cutie Pies -3,2,1 challenge (one image, two dp's, three embellishments - flowers, ribbon, doily)
Kaboodle Doodle - Anything goes.
Passion for Promarkers - Ribbon, Lace or twine

Back so soon...

.... I know, its because I have another huge pile of ironing but I really dont want to start it but I need to if I want to enjoy my couple of days off, gah!!

Enough moaning here is another make - is it possible to have too much of one colour???  See what you think:

Again apologies for the dodgy picture!!

I was lucky enough to win over at Crafty Sentiments and this image was one of the prizes I chose.  I have coloured her with promarkers and added stickles to her wings.  I have matted her onto purple Bazzill and then added lilac paper from my stash - unsure of make.  I have then added ribbon and punched butterflies from my stash.  To keep the easel card in place I have added a button and again added a peel off sentiment onto matted card.  Hope the recipient likes lilac :-).  The card blank is from Craftwork cards.

I would like to enter this into:

Crafty Sentiments - buttons
Crafty Ribbons - anything goes with ribbon
Stampin for the weekend - monochrome  (hope this is ok - never sure for monochrome if you should only be using one colour - just let me know if not and I can remove my entry.:-) )

Right best go and start the ironing :-(

Having a bit play...

... whilst mooching through blog land I saw a lovely shadow box card make which looked stunning and I fancied having a go at one as something new.  I knew I wanted to use one of Janeys images of Forget me nots,  So after a quick google for instructions here is what I came up with:

Its just a bit tricky to get a decent photo though I have used linen card stock and then matted with spotty paper off a 12x12 sheet the image has been coloured with my pencils and then flowers and butterflies punched and then liquid pearls added and then a peel off sentiment added.

Why not pop over to Janeys digis as there is 20% off digis until the 27th May details can be found on the etsy page.

...myself I wouldn't come on today - as the house is a tip and a mountain of ironing to be done!!!  What can you do though - the lure of blogging is too much at the moment lol, I wont stay long though I'll just quickly blog this make for my friends daughter:

The image is a greetings farm kindly stamped for me, which I have coloured with promarkers.  I was recently lucky enough to win a paper pack from Dies to Die for on a facebook draw - so I have used those then added a flower and numbers from my stash.  Loving the mint/pink colour combo.

I have time...

... for another quick blog before I start sorting tea out for my boys and one of their friends.  I made this card for a recent challenge, but missed the end date - doh!!  However, I've spotted a new challenge and would like to enter it into that:

I have had the image ages one of the lovely girls on MSE stamped her for me when I was just starting card making.  I have coloured her with promarkers.  The papers are Amy Tangerine as is the sentiment matted onto pink card - then pink gems from my stash.  I am loving the new colour combe - well new to me, lol - never very adventurous!!

I would like to enter this into:

Di's digi challenge blog: Show us your bling.

Right best go and see what I can rustle up - you wouldnt think I'd gone shopping yesterday, spent a small fortune and still have nothing for tea.

Hopefully, I'll be back soon with a little stitchy update too, seems ages since I updated what I was doing.

Good Morning...

... ah a nice dry day today!!!  Might try and get in the garden later, but first just wanted to share a quick make with you all.  I've used Janeys Icelandic Poppy:

I have coloured the image with my pro-markers and used 3d sticky pads and layered it onto white card, which in turn has been layered onto red and black card - all cut with nesties.  Unfortnuately the shading on the petals isnt showing too well in the photo :-( , but I hope you can still get the effect.

Pop over to the design blog to check out some new released Janey has designed and some other great makes from the girls.

I would like to enter this into:

I love promarkers - Simply does it.

Hmmm..

.. no sure if this is how I imaging it in my head - lol.  I saw the challenge over at Saturated Canary and loved all the images on the inspirational photo and thought I'd have a go as I had a peacock feather lying around - as you do!!  I love Kristas images but never feel I can do them justice - if you know what I mean lol).  Enough waffling - here is my make:

The image has been coloured with promarkers and polychromo pencils and added liquied pearls around her.  The green paper could possibly be basic grey and the green and purple card from my stash and lastly the bling from my stash and the feather came from my sons school project lol.

I would like to enter this into:

Saturated Canary Challenge - emerald.
