... the weather is even worse today and I'm in a right grump - lol - my eldest needs new school shoes and after doing the regular haunts (in the rain!) of Clarks, Clinkards, etc not one shop has his size he's only a size 5 for goodness sake!!! How can they not have ANY shoes in (mind you I was quite relieved in a way thinking I was going to be paying £40 for about 8 weeks wear - lol) - I feel a bit of an email moan coming on :-), and will have to try cheaper shoe shops to see if they have any. Gah - and dont get me started on idiot drivers, but I'm okay now I'm home and had a strong coffee.
Right, now I've got that off my chest I'll share this lovely chappie with you - and check me out I've only had a go at doing an insert, I was inspired by Ellas design blog and she has ok'd that I can have a go.
This was a Pollycraft freebie from ages ago, I dont think he is available any longer. I have coloured him with promarkers and added glossy accents to his beer. Then matted him onto embossed card, then purple card and had a go at making my own fishtale banners. I think the dp is Amy Tangerine (again!)
This was supposed to be for a sketch challenge until I realised I had missed a bit from the sketch and it wouldnt fit onto my card - doh!! so I've had to forget that challenge, honestly such a dozy drawers sometimes!
So forgetting that challenge I would like to enter it into:
Allsorts challenge - Happy Birthday
Creative Craft Challenges 2 - For the Fellas
Melonheadz friends - Male inspired.
Cupcake - boys
Simon says stamp - anything goes
If yours still with me after my little rant - thank you!!

ReplyDeleteoh dear - shopping - not a thing I am overly fond of strangely enough! Unless armed with a glass of pinot and a laptop and doing the internet/knock at your door armed with stuff from postie kind...:-) If you arent put off shopping for ever by now, then the little shop in Morpeth with the Mikey cake was all edible - they had some great creations in there. There's also a department store called Rutherfords which was just lovely, really unusual and actually made me want to return - no mean feat!

Fab monster! Love him. Laura x (strawberrymouse)
ReplyDeleteFab card, Ali! Love that cute monster (there's a contradiction of terms if ever there was one!) and your fab CAS layout! Great insert too! ;)
ReplyDeleteKnow what you mean about kids and shoes and don't even get me started on idiot drivers! Hope your mojo knocks it up a gear soon - mind you, mine went to a far off land whilst we had that lovely weather, I kept walking into my craft room and walking back out again! Partly due to the fact that it looks like a bomb has dropped in there, lol and partly because I would rather be out enjoying the rare British sunshine! Hugs, Lisa x
