A little bit more cross stitch - sorry!! Just there have been some lovely images in the cross stitcher magazine - and loved the little collection they put together for Mothers Day. So I cracked on with this one for my m-i-l:
I have added a little heart button (taken from a per una top) and added some little leaves from fabric in my little (no I mean tiny) fabric stash. Ooh which reminds me I need to ask something - at the end of the post. Sorry, I digress - lol, the lemon paper is handmade that I received from the lovely Linda at Pink Lilacs. The other patterned paper and sentiment is from my stash.
I would like to enter this into:
The latest MSE challenge - for mothers day card.
Totally Ladybug Challenge - stitching
4Crafty chicks - stitching
C.R.A.F.T - mothers day.
Thanks for looking xx
(oops nearly forgot - I am thinking of going to the Pins & Needles Show at the Newcastle Metro Arena - wondering if anyone has been and if its worth the trip up?? Thanks folks)

That card is adorable, you are so organised too. You should teach yourself to crochet, I did last autumn, and when i got stuck I watched you tube tutorials for help. If I can do it anyone can. If I lived closer i would come show you.

ReplyDeleteYou have fabric stash and you are sewing? Love your cross stitch panel but you nearly gave me a heart attack talking about Mothers Day. Thought it was imminent and I needed to knock up the local card shop throwing pebbles at the upstairs window! Phew!!! Police custody averted.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous project, thanks for joining in with CRAFT challenge this week

It is very pretty. I like how you have combined needlecraft with papercraft!
ReplyDeleteThird shock. I wasn't getting up I was going to bed! Fourth shock now I'm getting up 9.06am!
ReplyDeleteI hear that very sweet tea is good for shocks.
Have a look at the website for Pins & Needles last time there was lots of papercraft stalls, fabric, beads and gifty stuff to buy with workshops on in the middle. I think this one is more on the sewing/crochet/knit side than papercrafts. I've been to a few now and there is always something for everyone. It's £6 a ticket and £3 to park there all day. One tip though the food is crap and mega expensive ~ take your own.
ReplyDeleteThese are the exhibitors this time:
