Happy...

... Wednesday everone, hope you are all calm on the run up to Christmas - I'm trying not to panic - although I dont really know why I should be - I've just wrapped my pressies, but we've got the decorator in and the house is in a bit of a state.  We've got the tree up - but I'm itching to get cleaning - anyhoo, hopefully he'll be finished tomorrow.  I'm trying to get a list made up of last minute bits and pieces before the boys break up - as I know once they do, I'll get nothing done!!

I  havent actually made that many cards this year - just really for hubby, the boys, my mum & the in-laws.  Talking of which - here is the card I made for them:

The image is a cute LOTV coloured with promarkers and some stickles added.  Not sure the dp - they are from a double sided 12x12, matted onto blue bazzill, all edges have been distressed with a sentiment I did on word then added some punched snowflakes and little pearls from my stash.

I would like to enter this into:

I love promarkers - Anything Goes
Passion for Promarkers - Lets celebrate (christmas)

I'm not sure the maker of the stamp which has been coloured with promarkers and some fine glitter added to parts of the image.  I have then matted it onto red card and green card and die cut some scraps of christmas dp which I think where dovecraft and then added a stamped sentiment.

I would like to enter this into:

Helloo...

... oh dear time has run away with me again :-(.  I have been pottering though behind the scenes - hanging on desperately to my mojo but when I read and look around blog land there are lots of peeps suffering with this, so fingers crossed all our mojo's are out partying and theyll be back with us shortly!!!

Here is a card I recently made for Ians brother who has moved into a new home - it was tricky trying to do a masculine new home card - if you know what I mean lol.

The image is a digi from Tiddlyinks, coloured with promarkers and I then had a go at adding a cloud effect with distressed inks - inking over a die cut cloud.  The image has been matted onto black card the dp is Amy Tangerine again matted onto black card.  I have then added a die cut fence and just a computer generated sentiment.

Yoo hoo,

happy Tuesday folks - had a lovely crafty morning and chit chat with Janine and then home to take advantage of the lovely weather and got my washing pegged out - just time for a quick blog post before the boys come in and I have to get tea ready.

The image is a Krista Image for Sugar Nellie, that I bought second hand ages ago and only used a couple of times - I dont know why as I love the image, it has been coloured with promarkers/flexmarkers (until one ran out grrr)  the papers are MME matted onto pink bazzill.  I have then added gems and sentiment from my stash.  I googled a free printable of a library card printed it out and distressed the edge.

Ahoy!!

Shock!!  Finally a post from me - it feels like ages (but thats because it is)!!  I'm afraid I'm still having problems with my mojo not wanting to come out to play.  We also had a holiday and I was concerned I'd lost my mojo completely when we came home as I didnt want to do any crafting I didnt even go near my crafty area!!

Its my sons birthday tomorrow so I knew I needed to get myself out of my funk as he had asked for a homemade card, so that was the kick start I needed - slowly, I'm starting to feel like I want to do some colouring and making again - after a crafty visit to Janine I've come home and finished a card I started to colour there - she's always good at giving me a kick up the bum and telling me not to be so silly - lol. (Thanks hun x)

So here's my card:

The image is a Sugar Nellie coloured with promarkers and fine glitter added to her wings.  The papers are old freebies from a magazine matted onto cardstock from my stash.  I haved added some die cut flowers and leaves (totally taking me out of my comfort zone - I love seeing flowers on other cards but I cant seem to get away with them!).  Then added pearls and a little gem from my stash.

I would like to enter this into:

The Sugar Bowl - anything goes.
Simon says stamp- use dies, (die cut circle, flowers and leaves)

Thanks for reading and I apologise for not commenting so much recently on blogs, hopefully I'll be back on track :-)

Afternoon all...

... hope you are all well!!  Its holiday time here and the boys are off so trying to think of things to do because if I didnt they'd be on the xbox 24 hours a day and we cant be having that!!  (although it would make for an easier agument free life!! lol)

Still dont seem to find any crafty time, but I've got a couple of pics of cards saved and can blog one now.  I made this card for a lovely crafty bud:

The image is a Saturated Canary, coloured with promarkers, matted onto kraft card, raised with 3d tape.  The papers were from a magazine paper pack again matted onto Kraft, the die cut is a memory box die with pearls added, I've then added twine and and a charm from my stash.  The sentiment is just printed from word.

Tuesday, 14 July 2015

Hello, hello....

... yay!! a make and a post!! I keep saying this but I just dont know where the time goes, I must be really good at wasting it as I never seem to have any time to do any crafting - so ideas would be appreciated as to how you structure your day to fit in crafting would be great.

In my defence it is getting near the end of the school year and my youngest is enjoying his last week there, so we have been busy with leavers perfomances, sports days and an awards ceremony for the eldest.  Which reminds me - I think on my last post he was going for the Head Boy interview, he didnt get that position but did get senior house prefect and was happy with that (although I must admit to being a bit gutted for him :-( ).

Have you seen theres a relatively new challenge blog and shop about - called Handmade Bliss.  This is a card I've made for their July sketch challenge:

The image is Stamping Bella (the sentiment comes with the stamp), coloured with promarkers and matted on to brown bazzill.  The dp's are basic grey and flowers from my stash.

I've made this for my mums friend who has a very spoilt cat - only eats m&s prawns, likes to be hand fed - you get my drift - lol.  (it gets better looked after than my kids!!)

Right off for a cuppa and catch up of the Tour de France... hmmm.... that could be why I dont get any crafting done... cough!!

I would like to enter this into Handmade bliss - July Challenge

Hi there...

... hope you are all well, I'm faffing about here at home, trying to keep my mind busy as at this time my son is having an interview for a head prefect position at school, he's gone in full of cold feeling lousy - so I hope he's doing ok :-(.

I spotted a challenge the other day and thought I'd blog this card that would be suitable:

The image is from an art pad, coloured with promarkers, matted onto blue card.  The dp's are from a magazine (again!! lol) and then I have die cut some clouds and distressed the edges, then die cut and layered a fishtale banner and then added pearls from my stash.

I would like to enter this into:

Long time...

... no post!!!  I honestly dont know where the time goes as I dont seem to have done anything thats taken up my time - well apart from a stay in Harrogate - but that was only one night???

I did make this card the other week, having a play with a new die (a friend has it and I loved it so I thought best by my own than keep asking if I could use hers lol) AND I've used the fence die again so it wasnt a waste of money lol!!

The image is penny black coloured with promarkers and distressing ink stippled around the image. The dp is from a freebie magazine paper pack ages ago matted onto green card.  Then I've added the cloud dies, fence die and a sun die.

Morning..

.. hope you are all well, the sun is trying to get out here.  Been for a short walk this morning with oh - supposed to fill the morning in but he forgot he had to go and measure a job :-(.

So I'll take this opportunity to blog a recent make:

Now I'm not sure about this I got a bit carried away with trying a new hair colour - I sort of lost my way with the layout - I had an idea in my mind, but I'm not sure it came out as planned lol.

I'm going to make a note here of her hair colour, as I know I'll forget which colours I used and I really like it being a tad different from brown or blonde :-), so the hair colours were, walnut, burnt orange, pumpkin, ginger and apricot.

I would like to enter this into the Sugar Bowl challenge - anything goes.

The boys have nipped out to play, hubby is at work - so I can actually get on the computer - good grief I'm not sure what game he's playing on but he's more addicted to that than Candy Crush - I cant get a look in!!!!  So whilst I can I'm just going to blog this make:

The girl image has been coloured with promarkers and the dress has been paper pieced.  I then stamped the 21 onto a tag and again paper pieced it I'm not sure who the papers are?? and then I have added gems, ribbon and flowers from my stash.

...everyone, ooh its lovely and sunny here even a little bit warm!!  So the washing is hanging out and hoping to pop into the garden later :-), if only I could tempt the kids out - why they'd rather be in going stir crazy than going out is a mystery, aah joys of a teenager and a pre-teen!!

Anyhoo, here is a card I've recently made:

I have used a Tiddlyinks image, coloured with promarkers, with papers, card and lace from my stash.  I've finally used a memory box die, that I've had for ages and never used - naughty!!!

Lol.  The image was a recent freebie on Facebook, but I'm afraid I cant remember the artist - sorry, but if anyone knows please let me know and I'll add the details here.  The cutie has been coloured with promarkers and I've just created the sentiment on word.  I've raised the papers and image up from the card by using 3d foam tape and quite like the effect it has given :-)

This babe has been coloured with pro-markers and flexmarkers.  I'm not sure what make the dp is and have matted it onto bazzill card stock.  I have added a die cut sun and a starfish from my stash.

I would like to enter this into the colouring challenge at Saturated Canary (if you like it pop over and give me a like :-) as it goes on the image with the most likes.)

I'm not 100% about this card - I had the idea in my head for my sons 15th birthday - I know I dont look old enough lol :-), as he plays on his guitar everynight for hours on end, and this is how its come out - lol - it doesnt help that its a nightmare to photograph, but to say it does look better in real life:

I have used Mo's Air Guitar image coloured with pro-markers.  I made my own stepper card following the instructions from Charmed Cards and crafts.  Then I have die cut lots of stars and attempted to make what I hope look like speakers.

Yay!!

Another post - whoop!!! Lol. I also want to thank you for the kind comments and welcoming me back blogging :-) your comments have really helped. But where does the time go - I though when I stopped work I'd have loads of time to craft but I don't!!!  Saying that I've been trying to make time as got a few birthdays and events coming up so I'd like to get organised so I dont have that last minute panic.

A couple of friends are expecting babies, one iminently (she doesnt know what shes having) and another in a couple of weeks who knows shes having a boy - so I've got one boy card made and hanging on to see what colours I need to make for the first baby thats due.

I've used a pre-cut from craftwork cards easel card but it was tricky to get a good photo of it, but I hope you get the general idea:

The gorgeous image is from digi-stamp boutieque and was lovely to colour with promarkers, I have added glossy accents to the bubbles.  the papers are dovecraft I think matted onto pale blue card.  I'm not sure where I got the sentiment stamp from and the button and bobbly ribbon are from my stash.

... I know - me - writing a post!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.  Can't believe its been so long since my last post - I can only apologise I had a serious lack of  mojo relating to card making, blogging and comment leaving - I got a bit fed up with it all and seriously considered packing it all in, but I've hung on and started to make a few cards again.   I have been having a little nosy around and seeing lots of gorgeous makes as always so hopefully I'll get back into full blogging/blog hopping mode soon :-).

Here is a recent card I have made for Ians aunty who's birthday is at the end of January.

The Image is Elisabeth Bell from an art pad, coloured with promarkers.  The dp's are cut from a 12x12 sheet, matted onto Blue textured card.  I have then punched some butterflies and added pearls and then added ribbon and charm from my stash.

She was a lovely image to colour especially after a long break.
